Grants

Our goal is to make a Loyola education within reach of all students. With that in mind, Loyola tries to help students obtain all of the grants and scholarships for which a student may be qualified.

There are also a number of aid programs available for military, veterans, and their dependents. Please contact our financial aid team for more information about these opportunities.

Grants

Unlike loans, federal need-based grants do not have to be repaid. The primary federal grants are Pell Grants and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants.

Pell Grants

The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate and certain graduate students to promote access to postsecondary education. Learn more about the federal Pell grant program.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG) are also known as campus-based aid and are based on your financial need, when you apply, the amount of other aid you get, and the availability of funds. You can receive between $100 and $4,000 a year. Learn more about federal supplemental educational opportunity grants. 

GO Grant Program

The Louisiana GO Grant Program provides need-based grants for nontraditional and low- to moderate-income students. The maximum annual award is $3,000 for full-time students. There is a limited amount of funding under this program so it is important to submit the FAFSA by the priority deadline (Feb. 15).
