New Student To-Do List: Spring 2024

Your To-Do List

Submit Your Housing Application ASAP

Loyola requires every student to live on campus for two academic years, or until attaining junior standing. You can apply for housing through The Housing Director (THD) system available in your Single Sign On portal. Check your email for login instructions. Follow along with this handy how-to guide that walks you through the application process. To apply for an exemption to live at home or off-campus, you must submit the housing exemption application in THD.

Pay Your Tuition E-Bill by January 5, 2024

All payments, financial aid, monthly payment plans, and parent loans must be in place in your LORA Self-Service account as soon as possible to remove holds from your account before classes start. Follow these step-by-step instructions:

Complete Your Registration Requirements in LORA Self-Service

Prior to registering for your classes, you’ll need to sign your “Policies, Responsibilities, and Expectations Agreement” in LORA Self-Service. When you log into Self-Service (get help logging in) you can navigate to the menu on the left side of the screen and select the “User Options” dropdown. You can select the option that says, “Required Agreements” and click on the agreement form to complete.

Complete Your Mandatory Online Orientation by January 12, 2024

All new students (first year, transfer, residential, and commuter) are required to complete Loyola’s online orientation modules. Your online orientation program consists of video modules that cover everything from academic resources to student life and dining at Loyola. It should take no more than three hours to finish, and we’ll save your progress along the way. You’ll use your username and password from your Single Sign On (SSO) portal to access the online orientation. If you have problems logging in, reach out to our Help Desk at support@king-net.net from your Loyola email address. Parents and caregivers can also watch the orientation modules without logging in by clicking the “For Parents and Guests” option.

Add an Emergency Contact and Complete Your Registration Agreement

You are required to add your Emergency Contact information and complete the Registration Agreement in LORA Self-Service no later than January 15, 2024. Students who fail to submit an emergency contact/registration agreement before the start of the semester may risk being dropped from their courses. Log into LORA Self-Service and find the “User Options” dropdown in the menu to complete both steps.

Complete Your EVERFI Vector Student Conduct Training

All new students must complete the required EVERFI Vector student conduct training—an online resource for alcohol, drug, sexual violence prevention, and diversity, inclusion, and belonging. To log in, check your my.king-net.net email for your invitation. You will not receive this email until the second week of January. Open your email invitation and complete your courses in their entirety before February 9, 2024. If you have questions or encounter problems, please contact Student Affairs at studentaffairs@king-net.net. Failure to complete the training by the deadline will result in a registration hold on your account.

Review Your Health Insurance

All full-time undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in Loyola’s student health insurance plan. Domestic students have a plan with Aetna Health Insurance, and international students have a plan through LewerMark Student Insurance. You are required to use Loyola’s plan unless you can provide proof of comparable, existing coverage for the academic year. For instructions to waive coverage, plan details, and resources, please review our Student Insurance page.

Choose Your Meal Plan

All incoming students are required to have a meal plan, and Loyola Dining Services provides several meal plan options to meet each student's taste. All residential meal plans include a mix of weekly and flex meals, as well as Wolf Bucks.
