Catherine Harrell

Ms. Catherine Harrell is a native of New Orleans with nearly 20 years experience in academic advising and student success.  She has overseen federal workforce education grants for community colleges and spent 15 years as a workforce development training instructor.  In her role as grant manager, she was responsible for the development of prior learning assessment, industry and college collaboration projects, and academic program redesign.  She has worked as a volunteer certified trainer for prospective foster parents and life skills trainer for teens in foster care.  

Her education background includes a BA in History from the University of New Orleans and a MEd in College Student Affairs from Southern Arkansas University.  She has presented at state and regional conferences for NACADA and CASE.
